A partnership between one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of fresh produce, Minor Weir and Willis, and FareShare has seen more than 603.7 tonnes of surplus food – equivalent to 1 million meals – saved from waste and redistributed to support those vulnerable to food poverty throughout the UK.

Minor Weir and Willis has been working with Fareshare since June 2019 to reduce food waste and to provide fresh and healthy produce to those who need it most. We have received a wide range of produce such as; apples, potatoes, broccoli, courgettes and pears, all with high nutritional content and full of vitamins and antioxidants, supporting a healthy diet.
